Goodman specialises in steak. Our chefs source the best beef from both sides of the Atlantic – from premium USDA corn-fed herds to grass-fed Scottish beef, grain-fed Irish Angus and rare breed Belted Galloway from the Lake District in England – to present a unique combination of a traditional British chophouse and classic New York grill. All of our meat is dry aged and cut on-site – which can be seen in our glass-walled dry-ageing room. Couple that with one of London’s largest collections of American red wine, fine single malt whiskeys and a couple of great traditional English beers on tap and you have a match made in carnivore heaven.

The Yellow House Bar and Kitchen in south London’s Surrey Quays near the shopping centre is a big, warm hug of a local bar and restaurant. The owner is on site and usually in the kitchen preparing one of three menus on offer: the restaurant menu, the grill menu and the pizza menu. The Yellow House had an earlier incarnation in Plough Way, but has moved to more intimate premises with a slick, post-Industrial vibe when it comes to décor, but still the same perfectionist’s attention to detail, relaxed ambience, warm welcome and passion about the food on the plate. Attended for Sunday lunch with friends. It was our second visit and both times have been great. Restuarant is huge and ambience suffers a little if it is quiet. Menu is good if perhaps a little predictable, although what they do, they do well. But overall very impressive.

sunday roast was sensational - beef pink cooked perfectly, homemade gravy cooked over 3 days using beef bones and marrow will definetely be back

the staff were Brilliant they were really amazing. it was my disabled sons 18th Birthday and they put themselves out and made his Birthday even more special. it was our first time visiting Big Easy Canary Wharf and must say the friendly staff and friendly atmosphere made our occasion a rememberable one. the food was nice and brought out quickly all together so we were all eating at the same time which was good for a large party of 10. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. the food was OK but service quality was truly exceptional and would give it 5 stars
