My wife and I have been going to Abe & Louie’s on or near Valentine’s Day for many years. It is one of the last old school steak restaurants in Boston. Great service as always and our waiter, Chris was outstanding. We shared a beet and goat cheese salad - perfect. I had the 16 oz NY strip steak. OMG - it was fabulous. Home fries on the side are always a must. My wife had chicken with some crisp, chunks of potatoes. I admit to stealing a few pieces from her plate. Delicious key lime pie for desert. If you want a really good steak and nice service - go to Abe & Louie’s!

The staff and the food were amazing. Its just very dark in the restaurant. Maybe I am just getting old, lol. Hard to see menu. My wife pulled out her cell to see better and the waiter dropped a little night light on our table. It was funny and fantastic at the same time.

Amazing service on busy Valentine's Day! Our server paced our orders perfectly. Excellent cocktails. Lovely Caesar salad and shrimp scampi for starters. Our server checked on us often and bus staff were on top of clearing at just the right time. Tables are very small and crowd easily! Barely any elbow room. ( Our only nit pick) Delicious boar ragu over parpadelle and a likewise veal/ braised beef stuffed pasta were al dente and beautifully presented. Huge wine list. We split a pistachio semifreddo- we were stuffed and happy!

Buckley's is well known in our region as one of the better places to dine, especially if one seeks a good steak. We were not disappointed. I got the sugar cured strip loin and my dining partner ordered the filet mignon. Both cooked precisely as we preferred (medium well). The preliminaries (bread with olive oil, a salad for my dining partner) were tasty without being too filling. The core meal was delicious. The server (Laura) was attentive and friendly. She muffed my beer order but I am not very picky -- she ended up crediting us anyway. Two of the five dessert offerings were sold out; we settled for the blueberry crisp, and it was excellent.

Prime always delivers! Sarah, was just terrific and I'd certainly ask for her any time. It was prime rib night and both my wife and our friend had it (with huge take home portions) and raved about it. My salmon was excellent and my friend thought the haddock dish was excellent as well. He also raved about the clam chowder and we also loved the beet salad. overall, a terrific evening and we'd also highly recommend going on Wednesday night as the rest of the week is normally packed. Excellent evening for sure. Well done Prime Team!
