When the original Bascom came to Florida at the turn of the last century to help Henry Flagler build the Key West Railroad, he brought with him his love for thick cut chops and juicy steaks. During his travels he also discovered the bounties of fresh native Florida seafood.We have brought all of his favorites together in a true American Chop House that pays tribute to Bascom's hearty appetite and a passion for great steaks, chops and fresh seafood.In his honor, we have made Bascom's Chop House a comfortable, yet elegant, American restaurant. We are proud to offer a superbly crafted wine list and American Mid-Western beef, aged to our own exacting specifications to ensure the most tender and flavorful steaks served anywhere at any price.     Date Night tonight. Thoughts: we were seated within 5 minutes after arriving (even though we were 15 minutes early). The place looks high end and was very clean. It is a touch loud but once you settle in you understand the noise level is because everyone is having a sensational dinning experience. Service was incredible!! Heather & Auggie were an amazing team who were flawless! Food was delicious. We had the fillet w/truffle butter, prime NY Steak, loaded mashed, mushroom skillet, and the cookies & ice cream. Each dish was cooked and seasoned to perfection....5 star all the way. My only criticism is that we were seated across from each other and could not sit close together (which is my preference). Meat Market is now officially in our rotation...See you again soon

    We were escorted to a smaller room that was very peaceful. Our Server Bill, 7 years of service, paced the birthday celebration perfectly. Drinks, apps, and dinner were never rushed. Food was excellent for all five of us. Strips, prime rib, rib eye, and filets were all cooked perfectly and tasted great. We brought our own wine and the corkage fee was $50 for each bottle, no more than two. We had a wonderful evening.

    What a wonderful night. We celebrated my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent but the staff was simply the best. Our waiter went above and beyond to accommodate our guests. Then Gary, one of the managers I assume, fell in love with my mother in law as she reminded him of his grandma. He absolutely treated her like a queen and at the end opened a champagne bottle to finish the celebration for us. Will be coming back soon!
