Apps did the bacon which was outstanding, baked oysters, and prawns. Sides of crawfish mac n cheese, cheesy mashed, onion rings and the corn fritter is a must have. - RRussellNew Mexico •1 則評論5.0在5天前用過餐Great steaks dinner at Chophouse New Orleans tonight. The crab bisque was to die for. Their Chophouse salad was ok. Our 8 oz. filet mignon and 10 oz. NY strip steaks were cooked perfectly to our orders for them to be cooked to Medium. We actually prefer Medium Rare but our waiter told us they tend to cook on the rare side and our experiences having steaks at restaurants the past few years has been that most are tending to cook Medium Rare to what my wife and I consider to be Rare. Their side dish of mushrooms was delectable. The Key Lime pie for dessert was good. It’s whipped cream on top was very thick and very cold. Decent wine list. I had a glass of Groth Cabernet Sauvignon. And a shot of Angel’s Envy on a rock (the ice cube was about 1.5” x 1.5” x 4”, a mini iceberg😁) before we ordered our dinners. At $18. that’s the cheapest shot of Angel’s Envy I’ve ever had anywhere. Our only nits were: 1) We told our waiter at the end the butter for the loaf of bread was hard as a brick. 2) The bread was like a short baguette, not pre-sliced. My wife asked the server for a knife to cut it and they merely pointed to the butter knife on her bread plate. That was totally inadequate to the task of slicing a loaf of fresh soft bread. We made our reservation for about 90 minutes prior to last seating, which was somewhat earlier than we prefer to dine, but we didn't want to be rushed and appreciate that the staff wants to be with their loved ones just as we do. We had to wait about 15 - 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated but given that it was Christmas, we were not upset at all. I only wish the bar were larger so we could have had a drink while waiting but it was very busy. After being seated, we were served water almost immediately by one of the server assistants and told that our server would be with us shortly. It was probably about 5 - 8 minutes until Joseph arrived. He was very courteous and pleasant. We cannot state how lucky we were to have Joseph and his assistant (I apologize for not remembering his name). The two of us split the Ahi Tuna appetizer which was succulent. For the main course, I had the Sea Bass which was prepared beautifully. My partner had the Petite Filet Mignon, which at 8 ounces is a bit more than petite. It was beautifully prepared medium-rare, just as ordered and was delectable. We shared the cheesecake for dessert. It was outstanding but more than we could eat. Again, the service was more than we could possibly have hoped for.
