Absolutely love Starfish! Quality Restaurant. Would highly recommend. Starfish Greens house salad and dressing is wow! Kids enjoyed meals and Mochi Ice cream. We went two night in a row.

My girlfriend and I had reservations at 6pm and we got there on time and were told there was still a 25 minute wait. Aside from that and not being served for 20 minutes after being seated, it was a delightful meal and a very nice waitress. She made great recommendations as it was our first time trying sake and dining at this restaurant!

Our experience was nothing short of extraordinary! We celebrated my best friend’s birthday on Valentine’s weekend, and chose the Valentine’s Day Omakase Special, which was absolutely delicious. But the real standout dishes were from their traditional menu. The Spicy Crispy Tuna Rice was an unforgettable treat—the rice was perfectly crisped to a golden crunch, while the tuna was a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy, so fresh and full of flavor. And the Bone Marrow? It was like butter—meltingly soft, warm, and bursting with rich, savory goodness that made every bite heavenly. To top it all off, our waiter Lee was phenomenal. He was so attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel special. He surprised us with roses, complimentary champagne, and a birthday sorbet for my friend with a candle—such a thoughtful touch! The sorbet was so refreshing and a perfect end to our meal. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch, and I would rate the whole experience a 12/10. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Everything was fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is that when you order a fillet medium well maybe the server could ask if you’re OK with it being butterflied because ours is pretty pink inside. Although it tasted fantastic

West Side Ramen has been able to strike the perfect balance of a cozy, laid back ambience with an upscale experience - the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is incredibly flavorful, well presented, fresh, and fast! A top spot in downtown Libertyville by far
