While the restaurant itself serves a wide variety of classic Japanese fare, Rakushoku Fujita's main specialty is its sake options. the bar carries over 30 different kinds of sake which range from relatively inexpensive to extremely rare valuable varieties. Rakushoku Fujita's food menu consists mainly of fish and seafood options. There are small plates and appetizers like sushi and sashimi, while the entr_es available include decadent lobster dishes, shrimp platters and boiled fish served with seasonal vegetables and house made rice. ※ We changed shop name to "Rakushoku Fujita" from "Sakato Agi".

    I had a ten hour connection in Tokyo so I went into the city for sushi. Takaya was a terrific choice. Delicious fresh fish combined with a friendly relaxed attitude. I was a bit apprehensive about dining alone, but the chef made me feel welcome, and I had fun chatting with him. Tip: the seats at the far right side of the counter have a direct view of the chef preparing sushi, which was fascinating.

    Was so great to return to Fukuzushi after not being back in Japan since 2019. While they’ve moved to a newer and smaller location, felt it was more intimate than years past, and the quality of sushi, friendliness of chef and his wife, made it so welcoming and familiar again. Reminded me why I used to frequent the restaurant years ago. Looking forward to returning again in my future trips to Tokyo.
