At Taka Marylebone we like to keep things simple. We source the best produce we can find throughout the isles we call home. Then our chefs prepare them with love and care to enable the ingredients to speak for themselves. We are firm believers in the Japanese philosophy of shun. Which means that food should only be eaten when it is at its best and at the height of its season. This would be impossible without the skills and knowledge of our farmers, foragers, anglers, hunters and herders. The menu has been created to be shared by the whole table, with wine, sake or beer!

The cuisine served at the restaurant is traditional "kaiseki" cuisine prepared by chef Daisuke Hayashi. He has been trained at "Kikunoi" and his proven cooking techniques have been appreciated by many customers.     Nous sommes allez avec des amies à ce restaurant que nous avons beaucoup vu sur les réseaux sociaux. Nous avions réservé pour 22h30. Il y avait un DJ, ainsi qu’une violoniste pour accompagner le tout. L’ambiance était au rendez vous et nous étions dans une atmosphère très agréable. Pour les plats, il y a énormément de choix, le concept est de commander à manger et de tout se partager sur la table. Niveaux prix c’est un petit peu cher, mais en additionnant la musique, le cadre ainsi que le personnel très accueillant cela est compréhensible. Nous avons pris 4 plats « à partager », (des sushi 6 pièces, du riz avec de l’agneau, des maki 6 pièces et enfin des crispy) on en a eu pour à peu près 49£ par tête.

    We sat in the first floor restaurant. The lack of any soft furnishings meant the noise levels were extremely high making it quite uncomfortable and difficult to have a conversation. The waiters did their best but clearly understaffed. The food was very good.
