Momotaro is a multi-level Japanese restaurant located in the West Loop. Led by Executive Chef Gene Kato, Momotaro has had the honor of being named Restaurant of the Year in both Chicago Magazine and Chicago Social.     Everything about our experience was wonderful! Excellent and very personable waiter and staff, delicious food and cocktails. The Mag Mile Martini was amazing, the smoked carrots so yummy, and the BBQ pork chop hefty and perfectly cooked. The timing of drinks, starters, and entrees was unhurried but not slow. We will definitely be going back, and with friends.

    Shaw's Chicago location offers a fantastic dining experience with fresh oysters that are always a highlight. The lunch special is not only delicious but also reasonably priced, making it a great option for a midday bite. The restaurant's vintage ambiance adds a charming touch, making it a beautiful space to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend!

    I haven’t eaten here since I left Chicago. In fact, the last time I ate there, was in their old location. I am happy to say that nothing has changed in. This restaurant is still outstanding. The tuna sashimi and the rolls that we had were all terrific. The Hamachi jalapeño was also very good. They had a nice selection of wine and for a fair price. The service was very good as well. They had some nice background music that wasn’t invasive, but you could still hear and enjoy. The next time I am back in Chicago and I want sushi. This will be my go to destination.
