Takai by Kashiba is a fine dining Edo-Mae style Sushi restaurant that specializes exclusively in nigiri sushi.     This is my fourth visit to Takai, and each time, I discover something new. I was told it’s because they always use the best seasonal ingredients, and I can truly see (and taste) the difference. No doubt, I’ll be back again soon!

    The swordfish was amazing. Service was excellent. The pinapple upside-down cheesecake was so delicious I was sorry that I was too full to finish it. We ordered the Dungeness crab bisque. Our server warned us that it was rich. No joke. Yummy, but you could eat it with a fork. Could only eat a bit to save room for diner. But the swordfish *chefs kiss*!

    Chef Fuji-San and his wife take you on a magical tour of Japan with seasonal fish, delicious chawanmushi and beautifully curated appetizers. As a gluten free diner, the restaurant reached out to me ahead of time to try and accommodate my allergy and also made a special chawanmushi so that I could truly enjoy the experience. This is a special dining experience and special chef family.
