Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. There’s also a 20-seat private dining room. We use only the finest ingredients such as Japanese Black Cattle made in Australia for beef, Sashimi and Seafood fresh from the sea.     Thank you for an amazing lunch, the service was exceptional and the food to die for. Especially the Prawns and the Toothfish (which is the first time I have ever eaten out and had it cooked perfectly). The Cauliflower Karaage was so beautiful and fresh it blew my socks off. Thank you again to all the team for a memorable dining experience.

    This is a great, must-try restaurant in Surry Hills! The food was excellent! It was the best bento box I've had in a long, long time. The ginger kimchi was so yummy and so was the soft shell crab don. The decor and ambiance were excellent as well. Will definitel be going back to this place. If you're in the area you must try it!

    It was my birthday dinner and the night was so lovely . The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious . I love sitting outside in the courtyard and my guests loved the evening Z thankyou so much for making it a perfect night for me and my friends and family
