Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole’s signature non-traditional take on Japanese food has delighted Austin’s diverse dining crowd as well as visitors from across the country and around the world since 2003. Reservations are encouraged and can be made up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in seating is limited to the Sushi Bar and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

Located on Austin’s vibrant South Congress Avenue, Neighborhood Sushi serves high quality sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes in a casual and beautiful setting. Happy hour and-a-half will offer food and beverage specials weekdays 3pm - 5pm throughout the entire restaurant. Our front door is on the neighborhood facing side, in the Annie Street parking lot. Look for a black-stained door with a white and wood light-box sign. Our host will be waiting inside to welcome you! ADA accessible entry through the Sake Garden on the Congress sidewalk.

    We make a reservation every year for Christmas Eve and we always have the best meal and the service is always phenomenal. We sit in the high tops by the bar so really can’t comment on noise level. We have several food allergies / intolerances and the staff is always incredibly diligent and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back next year!!

    Another exquisite visit to Uchi. The service was fabulous from the moment we walked in. We let our server Jessica give us some guidance on our menu for the evening, and her recommendations did not disappoint. The sake tom kha was delicious, with a flavor packed tom kha reduction. We also had an ocean trout nigiri on special that was so delicious, we ordered seconds. We’ll be back!

    Overall, as usual, another fantastic addition to the Uchi family of restaurants. Outstanding. The food, the service, the menu - impeccable. The one thing that I found surprising was (IMO) the lack luster of the ambiance. I have always loved the aesthetics of his restaurants - this one fell flat to me. Our server, Anthony, was fabulous! I’m partial to Uchi and Uchiko.
