Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. The interior is multi-faceted, with a black slate tiled traditional dining room, a gorgeous 14 person capacity wooden sushi bar, a semi private "tatami" room which holds 12 people, a larger 25 person private dining room, an enclosed "back patio" casual dining room complete with tropical garden, a black concrete liquor bar with custom sake cocktails and fusion traditional cocktails.     Truly one of the top 5 meals of my life. This brought be back to Japan in flavors but had textures that my American palette likes. My husband and I can't stop talking about how amazing it was to sit at the counter and watch Chef Jun work his magic. Every bite was better than the last. The staff were all incredibly attentive, we even had our coats returned warm from a heated closet to top off an amazing evening. Highly recommend this experience and if you enjoy tea, do the tea pairing it was so worth it!

    The oysters ( Kumamoto) were very good, the hot and sour soup was great, the Chilean seabass was great and we ordered some rice with thai style red curry which was excellent. My daughter ordered Opakapaka and she said it was very good too. a nice bottle of a sommelier recommended Sauvignon Blanc completed the circle for an outstanding dining experience.

    Omigawa continues to be one of the best Sushi options in the area. Highly recommend the Chutoro and Otoro Nigiri. The service is also exceptional.
