Ember Yard is the fourth restaurant from Salt Yard Group and has been influenced by our travels around Spain and Italy and their methods of cooking over charcoal and wood.We commissioned and custom built a bespoke, Basque-style grill and sourced some amazing single species sustainable charcoal and wood from Kent to cook with. Salt yard is an absolute banker for all food tastes. After recently sharing the delicious and incredibly generous taster menu at the Fitzrovia restaurant, I invited my vegetarian friend to the Borough one. She and I shared equally tasty vegetarian plates. Away from the madding crowd it is a place of total solace, from the food to all parts of the dining experience.

We were group of 5, and had booked this place for dinner post electric shuffle and food was really outstanding. Such great flavours, the flavours in their tabbouli was just hands down best I had eaten ever ( despite it wasn’t authentic base of tabbouli using wheat but was made using brown rice & quinoa) and hummus was so nice and creamy. We had ordered almost everything that was vegetarian on menu- Za’atar flatbtead, hummus, fatteh pita chips, baked halloumi, sesame coated falafel, truffle patatas, tabbouleh grain chilli salad, flame baked cauliflower. Staff was really cordial, courteous & patient. I really wish & hope they open one more branch somewhere in central London or around liverpool street. I absolutely loved it & would highly recommend if you are out & about in canary wharf & want to eat mediterranean (lebanese) food.
