Nestled into the corner of Spitalfields, we have recently re-branded as a small plates bar, cafe & restaurant, serving up wonderful seasonal plates made with the freshest ingredients, cakes & pastries. All alongside an extensive range of British & Belgian beer, self-imported French wine, Andronica's marvellous coffee & tasty cocktails. Our bar is the product of over 20 years’ work by couple Kay and Peter Sinden, who have now passed on the daily running of the place to their own children. The food and wine were as good as always. We’ve been here numerous times and still find the menu exciting. It’s hard to choose from so many delicious dishes. Highlights are the tortilla, sliders, scallops and croquettes. It soon adds up when you order the pricier dishes but it’s such good food, it’s worth it!

I celebrated my birthday here, the food was superb. Definitely will be coming back it’s only a shame that service wasn’t the best but although food and ambiance of the place was lovely so I can ignore it. Recommend

Salt yard is an absolute banker for all food tastes. After recently sharing the delicious and incredibly generous taster menu at the Fitzrovia restaurant, I invited my vegetarian friend to the Borough one. She and I shared equally tasty vegetarian plates. Away from the madding crowd it is a place of total solace, from the food to all parts of the dining experience.

Great old school place that has been here for ages. Its a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are great. They leave you alone and there's been no pressure to leave or turn the table when I've eaten there at lunch. Rare find and normally has availability. Perfect hidden gem for a small side plate and a glass of Cremant when shopping in Spitalfields too.
