Emporium Thai has been voted one of the 100 best Thai Restaurants in the US. Family-owned and operated, we have shared the wonderful flavors of authentic Thai food with our customers since 2000. We can't help it: Cooking is in our genes. Supis Sungkamee, our 88 year-old mom, bore 12 children in Southern Thailand and instilled in us a passion for authentic Thai cooking. In 1990, she won a lottery for a U.S. green card which allowed our family to become US immigrants and eventually US citizens. We are blessed and grateful to be able to share our family's recipes. Emporium Thai has become a favorite destination for those who appreciate fine Thai cuisine. Just like Mom and Dad did back in Thailand, Emporium Thai Cuisine uses only the finest ingredients bought locally. Our mission is simple "To create such a memorably wonderful Thai dining experience that you'll want to return to Emporium Thai often, and rave about us to your friends". Queen Violet is a modern Asian fusion restaurant in an unique European style building with a beautiful floral courtyard. Most of our dishes are inspired by Chef Sara Thongchoet. We also offer traditional Thai and Chinese recipes that make you feel at home. Chef Sara created her own recipes from her apartment in 2010 by cooking for her family and friends. Everyone loved her food, and her friends brought more friends!  She quickly realized that the groups have gotten too big for her apartment. This moment of inspiration sparked her passion and her soul to become a chef.  Chef Sara finally made “Queen Violet” happen in the heart of WeHo!So why the name “Queen Violet”?-Queen?  We playfully imagine our customers to be Queen Bees returning to their hive (our restaurant).-Violet?  In Thailand, violet is the color of the LGBTQ, not the rainbow.  So, we chose violet to represent our support for the LGBTQ community.So welcome to Queen Violet !

    This was mine and my three friends first time dining at La Ong. We had a great experience! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm smile and welcomed. Everything we ordered was excellent! The food, service and ambiance was all very well executed! I've recently returned from a trip to Bangkok and now I know where I can revisit a piece of it here in LA. We had the organic fresh green rolls (I need them to bottle the peanut sauce.lol), crab fried rice, sea bass southern thai curry, holy basil noodles and the dirty wagu beef! I would order everything again!

    Excellent food, high quality ingredients , some unusual dishes. More expensive than your neighborhood Thai restaurant but definitely worth a try. Interesting cocktails, too. Would recommend sitting on the patio.

    The restaurant is delicious, beautiful and very unique with its dishes. The tuna tartare was wonderful! It was a huge portion and very acidic. The mushrooms ravioli was just a unique spin! Sour yet creamy a perfect balance. This place made me feel special for my birthday.
