A wonderful & delicious discovery in this very atmospheric and intimate restaurant, deep in the heart of Leadenhall Market. Surprisingly excellent value, given the surroundings & excellent, fast & attentive service. Will certainly return!

Everyone at El Pirata is always amazing. We love this place and the people. The food that Chef Mario creates is always the best we have ever tasted. This is our favorite dining experience all over the world. We have been coming here for many, many years and in all our travels on the planet, it is still the best.

Wonderful venue, with wonderful staff and food/wine. The food quality and menu options are excellent, the wine options are varied but it is hard to go wrong with any bottle on there. Always busy so do book. Tables are smaller on average but this adds to the intimacy of the dining experience.

This is a wonderful Spanish establishment. In summary, the food is excellent, the wine mark up is not huge like some places, the service was very welcoming and the service charge was only 8%!!! The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated. There is a nice tapas menu for the bar area and a more substantial menu in the restaurant. We started off with a pre-dinner drink from a good selection of wines by the glass and sherries. We had dinner in the main restaurant. The atmosphere was very refined and I can now understand why they stipulate a dress code of business casual. We both had squid for starters which was nice and the flour coating very light and crispy. For the main course, we had sucking pig and milk-fed lamb. Both were well cooked with crispy skin. My lamb portion was a bit big so I could not finish it but they were very nice and packed it for me to take home. Sadly we were so full we didn't manage to have a dessert. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant, although I might try the tapas next time.

Salmon was fine but honestly nothing special. Greek salad was very tasty and fresh artichoke appetizer disappointing but staff quickly replaced with a wonderful side salad. Service was very good and very friendly
