Napa Valley Bistro was opened in 2013 by chefs Bernardo Ayala and Ernesto Martinez, (also co-owner of Market in St. Helena). Their friendship and working relationship, which has lasted over 20 years was so successful, they decided to pool their resources and stake a claim in downtown Napa's expanding culinary scene. Their aim was to create their own version of classic world cuisine in a comfortable space where family and community could gather for any occasion. The twist is evident in the menus, which sample fare from around the globe. Guests can choose from traditionally prepared Mexican Empanadas or timeless American favorites like the Lamb Burger and St. Louis Ribs. Other options include Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Chinese Chicken Salad and Seasonal Risotto. Our Wine & Beer List includes local wines leaning toward small producers & craft brews.

Located on First and Main in the heart of downtown Napa and housed in an historic 1880’s building, the Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ has been voted “Best Wine Bar in Napa Valley” for years running.     We were seated as soon as we arrived, and we arrived early, by the manager (Jeff). The table we were given was in a great spot and comfortable. The service (Paula) was outstanding. She was very helpful on choices and we felt she was at the table when we needed her. She was able to read us pretty well. My guests are difficult diners and she handled them with a very professional approach. The dishes were all great. Everyone loved their choices. Overall, a win for home team!!!

    From the greeting at the entrance to the waitress, the food and the exit, the entire experience was amazing. The manager was fantastic and treated us like royalty. Loved the evening. Thanks for taking such good care of us.
