Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. 60 Vines was excellent! This was our first visit, and I definitely recommend it. Our waiter was knowledgeable and his recommendations were perfect: from the wine selections to the food pairings. The wine flight is the way to go as there are too many nice wines to choose from. We only had the shareable plates but they were all outstanding: the bacon-wrapped dates (if you think you don’t like dates, try this!); the mussels; the barratta ; and the blistered peppers. I can only imagine what the mains are like if the small plates are this good.

We enjoyed dinner in the car/lounge with my elderly father whose hearing is limited. It was a terrific suggestion by your seating host! The waiter and wait staff were--always are--exceptionally friendly, informative, and attentive. Thank you for always providing us such delicious and memorable meals!!
