Located in the Heart of Sonoma Valley, Loxton Cellars is a working winery surrounded by 5 acres of estate vineyard. It is the intent of owner/winemaker, Chris Loxton, to produce handcrafted wines, made without compromise, that show balance and a sense of place. Wine tastings (no food) are currently offered by reservation and take place outdoors allowing guests to enjoy a lineup of handcrafted wines while taking in breathtaking views of the Mayacamas mountain range. Tastings are $20/person, include a flight of 5 wines and offer a casual and educational experience. In the event of rain we do have you covered, but it can be a bit chilly this time of year so we suggest bringing layers. While we do not sell or serve food, you are welcome to bring snacks or lunch to enjoy in the picnic area. Our winery was founded in 2011 with the specific purpose of crafting the Genception of Giants California Super Syrah, a no-expense-spared, uber cuvée of Syrah that uniquely incorporates stellar fruit from five highly regarded vineyards. Our wines are rich, layered and three dimensional with the winemaking style emphasizing patience in the vineyard -allowing mother nature to deliver complex, robust fruit; and patience in the cellar -where wines are artfully paired with an impressive cadre of French oak for 19-28 months.We pride ourselves on providing a first-rate, memorable tasting room experience. A selection of decadent wines are poured on a daily basis by our friendly and knowledgeable team, in our contemporary and artistically appointed tasting room. Six wines are included with each tasting session and it’s not uncommon for a “bonus pour” or two to be flowing.
