Montesacro is the first “Pinseria Romana” in the United States.     This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. We live nearby and often take friends / visitors there. I think we have a 95% hit rate on converting people to the joy of anchovies, which can sometimes be a polarizing item. But Anchovy Bar does them in such a unique and varied way - it's such a great culinary experience! Always enjoy going back, and the staff is great.

    1st time for dinner. Amazing as lunch. Started with the crudo = fire. NA drink delicious. Mushroom polenta = fire. I had squid ink pasta = fire. The wife had crab risotto = fire. And dessert, chocolate yummy = fire. Don’t sleep on this spot. Our server was Louis = fire.

    It was great the place makes you feel like you are somewhere in Europe minus being in one of the worst places in town 6th street but I guess that adds to the adventure. The staff was great and the food was very good being that it was a limited menu being that it was Valentine’s Day.
