An intimate and informal space, with a DJ booth and bespoke sound-system, Jazu is a Hi-Fi Cocktail bar that offers serious drinks and music. Previous residents include: Eric Wan, who trained at Dinner by Heston, cooked a menu of southern Vietnamese delights; Nicolas Hasina, Sous Chef at Toklas, who brought the flavours of his native Madagascar to the kitchen; Homeboy Pizza, cooked up traditional, deep-pan, Sicilian pizzas; and Duda Diner shared the fresh, fragrant flavours of Malaysian street food. 2025 sees Hasting's finest, Wavey Bar, take over the kitchen, serving a menu of refined and hyper-seasonal small plates.

Team pre-Christmas drinks went well - the wines, nibbles were very good. The service was very attentive and accommodating, pleasant atmosphere overall.

Food was unreal and cocktails were unique. Live DJ was a nice touch as well. Didn’t give 5 stars because the restaurant was overcrowded and staff took a while to notice us. Perhaps it wasn’t table service - but that never was made clear to us, and the bill was brought to the table when we asked for it. The seating layout was awkward too, we were wedged in between two longer tables diagonally.
