Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. This is the first time I came to Kyo yakiniku. Generally, everything is good. If I have to pick something, I'd say put more variety food on the menu.

This place was an absolute gem in the city. My first time experiencing Japanese BBQ and I loved it - such a fun food experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Every ingredient is fresh, high-quality, and full of flavour and such good value for money! I would definitely reccomend a visit. 😊

I got thr premium buffet on a Saturday night, so it was very busy but the service was quick and amazing, This is my second time coming here, first time was OMG Amazing ..!! Like had to be my fav Jap all you can eat.. meat was soft juicy and amazing.. i highly rated it.. But sadly second time I came i was a little disappointed.. wagyu was a little chewy, beef tongue was frozen, but overall I was still happy with it, but not sure now if I'll come back especially for the premium price.
