We hope you will join us at Daniel George restaurant. Located in the heart of Mountain Brook Village, we offer a casual yet elegant dining experience. Our menu includes fresh seafood and local produce. "Farm to Fork" is a philosophy we believe in and strive to pursue on a daily basis.

    We will cater events from 10 to 500. We offer heavy hors d'oeuvres, buffet style and seated dinners. We are happy to serve any items from our regular menu or will customize a menu specifically for you.

    Our private dining room will accommodate as many as 30 guests. Audio visual equipment is available, if needed. We offer a set menu for $75 per person which includes hors d’oeuvres, house salad, a choice of 4 entrees - beef, chicken, fish, & veg plate - and a choice of 2 desserts. Smaller groups of 10 -15 are welcome to order off the regular menu.

                                                    Waiter and staff did as well as they could. Massive very loud party going on in room next to us, we could barely hear each other at the table. I’m sure the party paid the bills for the night, but it was not exactly the birthday dinner we had expected for my 86 yo mom.

                                                    My oyster appetizer was absolutely sublime! The cornmeal crusted fried oysters and raw oysters were delicious. However my entree, salmon with a tomato sauce and a kale pocket stuffed with grains, carrots, corn(!) and onions, was a poor choice. Seriously doubt that we will return to DG.

                                                    A Wonderful Birthday Celebration at Daniel George Restaurant & Bar I recently took my spouse to Daniel George Restaurant & Bar in Mountain Brook, Alabama, for her birthday, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were met with outstanding service. The staff was warm, courteous, and incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail of our dining experience was perfect. Despite a lively group next to us—clearly enjoying a celebratory girls’ night out—the atmosphere remained pleasant and never felt overwhelming. It was a testament to the restaurant’s ambiance that even with a spirited crowd, the experience remained intimate and enjoyable. The food was delicious, showcasing the high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation that Daniel George is known for. The drinks, however, were the true highlight—expertly crafted and delicious. Overall, this was a fantastic choice for a special occasion.                                                     We are regular (if not frequent) guests at Daniel George. We arrived at the exact appointed time for our reservations and were offered a choice of the two worst tables in the restaurant. Other, more desirable tables remained vacant throughout our stay. Food was not up to the standards we have come to expect from Daniel George. We may try other dining options on our next visit to Birmingham.
