Restaurant Wjelbik (meaning "pantry") is located in a 600-year old building in Bautzen. It's owned by the Mahling family, with their daughter Monika in charge of the restaurant and her husband Thomas Lukas operating as head chef. On the Wjelbik menu you'll find traditional Saxon and Lusatian dishes, such as Sorbian Wedding Soup, Lausitzer trout fillet and Caramelized rhubarb compote. Try a locally brewed beer or a fine wine to make your meal even sweeter.
If you're staying in town for the night, you can rest in the Hotel Dom-Eck, a Sorbian hotel near the Wjelbik.

Seit nun zwei Generationen bieten wir Ihnen in der Gaststub zur Bimmlbah', hausgemachte erzgebirgische Speisen mit frischen Produkten aus der Region. Hierbei treffen Oma´s Rezepte auf junge Küche und bilden damit das Herzstück der Bimm'. Erzgebirgische Speisekultur ist uns eine Herzensangelegenheit, die wir pflegen und bewahren möchten.
Die erzgebirgische Küche kann mit vielen Spezialitäten aufwarten. Die Zubereitung von Speisen und hauseigenen Rezepten sind über Generationen hinweg erhalten geblieben. Aus der Not heraus wurden aus der vorwiegend angebauten Kartoffel die schmackhaftesten Speisen gezaubert. Kombiniert mit Pilzen aus den Wäldern und viel Speck ergab das jedoch deftige, wohlschmeckende Gerichte.

The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating options available and a large garden complements the decor. The chefs at Schwalbennest have years' worth of experience and take pride in using the freshest ingredients available.
Schwalbennest's menu has specials throughout the week, such as on ribs or fish, and there is a seasonal menu that rotates throughout the year where you can order delicious beef or poultry dishes. Alter Bierhof is a medieval themed restaurant in the historic 1000 year old town of Bautzen. A building has stood here for an indeterminate length of time, and though the original burned in a fire, it was rebuilt in 1720. The view from the Alter Bierhof is also perfect for enjoying Bautzen's historic landmarks and the Oberlausitzer mountains.
Alter Bierhof's menu is tailored to its medieval heritage and includes such delights as steak with peppers and roasted breast of capon. It serves vegetarian dishes and has a beer garden that, as of 2016, was recently awarded best in the region.

Gasthof Forsthaus, located in Moritzburg, is a beautiful and intimate restaurant and event space available for lunch, dinner and special occasions. A quaint dining space is wistfully decorated in the style of old Germany, and Gasthof Forsthaus's history as a hunting lodge has made its way into the decor as well as the menu. Dishes of venison dominate the menu, prepared in a variety of ways from traditional German cooking techniques. Diners can also enjoy the local Meissner wines, which come from a local vintner.
