Dominic and Jackie Galati purchased Dominic's on the Hill in 1971 and moved in above the restaurant. Within two years, Dominic began winning national awards and has continued to do so for the last 40 years. This is an exceptional restaurant with fine Italian cuisine, professional, friendly service, & an extensive wine list. Dominic oversees the kitchen,and the menu includes fresh seafood, veal, tenderloin, lamb, and many other choices. The restaurant has a Florentine atmosphere, with low lighting, white tablecloths, & classic oil paintings. Dominic's has been honored by DIRONA, 2001 Restaurant Hall of Fame, 1999 International Award of Excellence, The Epicurean Award & was voted one of the two best Italian Restaurants in the country by Conde Nast Traveller.
The second floor of the restaurant is available for private parties of 15-65. Please call for details. Smaller parties up to 18 people can be accommodated downstairs as well as larger parties up to 150.

The elegent and intimate Sopra Room on the private second floor is complete with separate bathrooms, full bar, and plasma TV. The main restaurant has two semi-private rooms which can seat 18 people. The whole restaurant can also be reserved for up to 150 people. Private dining menus range in price depending on your budget and wants. Wine can also be ordered exclusively for your event. A deposit is required to hold the space for your private event. Call for more information.
This is a great restaurant! Food is outstanding and the experience is so classy. There aren't many places left that can give you this type of fine dining pleasure. Domenic's is a 'must' for anyone that appreciates quality.

It was New Year's eve, not as crowded as I expected, always a few empty tables, but the whole experience was really slow. After being seated we (2) waited 10-15 minutes for our drink order to be taken and then the server realized we hadn't been given a drink menu. Not a big deal just awkward. Then the Captain came over 20 minutes later to explain the one off the menu offering and it was nearly another 20 minutes before he returned to take our order. By the time our appetizer had come out we'd been there about an hour and 15 minutes and when the salads came out an hour and 45 minutes. Dinners were served about 20 minutes or so later, so were now ready to eat the main course two plus hours in. Fettuccine alfredo for one, Veal for the other, they were good but nothing special about either dish to make them memorable. The decor inside is very nice and the staff was pleasant, but overall for the price, I may try again but would be in no hurry.

Great food, service was great until it was time to settle out. Took 45 minutes. Noise level wasn't too bad.
In our experience, Dominic's is on the high end, cost wise, but not a deal breaker, especially for special occasions.
Definitely would go again.

Came for NYE dinner. Restaurant was full but felt very warm and cozy. Food was excellent and the wait staff made sure that every need was met before it was felt. One of the best on the Hill in STL

We had a very disappointing experience and meal. Splurged on the Osso Buco. It arrived cold. We couldn’t flag down a server to save our life so had to suffer through. It also was very bland. The Chicken Parmesan was ok, but asked for a ziti noodle for the side and it arrived with linguine (which I don’t like). Again, no one came back to check on us the entire meal! Also, asked for my son’s steak plain and it came with a lot of cheese melted on top. Paid a LOT of money for this sub-par meal. Will definitely think twice before going back! Very disappointing as this was our Christmas celebration meal.
