Malibu is full of icons. There may be none more legendary than the man who brought the tradition of surfing to our slice of heaven, Duke Kahanamoku. Duke’s Malibu honors the Ambassador of Aloha and pays tribute to the early days of West Coast surfing with delicious island-inspired cuisine, drinks at the Barefoot Bar and a genuine spirit of Aloha. Nestled along the Pacific Coast Highway, Duke’s Malibu has been serving up timeless memories for over 25 years, having opened its doors in 1996. Delicious chilled shrimp salad and plate lunch coconut shrimp. Our waiter Matt was excellent too. Can't wait to go back.

Our first visit to this iconic restaurant was excellent. We loved the Rocket Salad starter and were blown away by our main course, the sautéd mac nut and herb crusted fresh fish (Halibut) - delicious! Our server, Ally, was fabulous. For dessert, she recommended the Hula Pie - holy moly that was amazing! We visited on a weekday night at 6pm in mid-Nov and the place was not crowded at all. We self-parked but were still charged $10, the only disappointment of the evening.

Awesome experience. The view is hands down so beautiful it’s hard to describe. Most tables have a great view of the ocean. I had the hurricane chicken Hawaiian plate and it was awesome. A must eat at location.

Made a last minute reservation for lunch. Greeted warmly and escorted to an elevated booth with a lovely view of the water. Our server, John took our order; making some amazing recommendations for appetizer and entree selections. The Calamari appetizer was fried to perfection, served with 2 sauces. The chosen entree was fresh, locally sourced Halibut. The sides of rice, salad, and grilled vegetables completed the dish. Just a short ride from L.A., I definitely will return and ask for John…he was fantastic.

We have been going to Duke's for over 30 years and service is always exceptional. We don't go as often because of the prices, but that is everywhere in CA. The food tastes good and the view is amazing. We all agree that there is one constant complaint, and that is thier meal portion size is always too small. Not a good value for your dollar when it comes to the food portion, but everything else is five stars.

I went here for lunch today with a girlfriend, I’m from Mass and I come often to visit. I wanted to try Duke’s, having never been there. We both had Mai Tai’s and they were out of this world. Then we had the coconut shrimp and it was delicious - Nick was our waiter and he was kind and super attentive, even surprising us with the famous Dukes ice cream pie. We had a table right by the window and the view was just incredible.
