Malibu is full of icons. There may be none more legendary than the man who brought the tradition of surfing to our slice of heaven, Duke Kahanamoku. Duke’s Malibu honors the Ambassador of Aloha and pays tribute to the early days of West Coast surfing with delicious island-inspired cuisine, drinks at the Barefoot Bar and a genuine spirit of Aloha. Nestled along the Pacific Coast Highway, Duke’s Malibu has been serving up timeless memories for over 25 years, having opened its doors in 1996. Locals and visitors alike come to celebrate life and dine like a legend.

              Excellent, classic seafood restaurant on the coast in Malibu. Fine calamari, martini, @ arugula salad 🥗. Duke's halibut was squishy & a disappointment. Been coming here for decades...

              This was our first time visiting Dukes in Malibu (we went to the one in Honolulu years ago). We definitely recommend going before sunset, as the ambiance of the ocean and sun and sky are amazing. After dark, it loses that, as Malibu doesn't allow lights on the water. Our food was excellent (except that the wedge salad was drowning in dressing). The entree's were delicious, as well as the calamari and dessert. Everything was very clean and sharp, yet the casual atmosphere welcomed a more laid-back local and tourist crowd. Our fave experience was the amazing service. Eliana, a Pepperdine student, was our server and she was very attentive, friendly, positive, and hopeful, without being overly chatty or disruptive. She's a star. We will be back.

              Kinda lost its former glory. Food really not good. Never was ya know, gourmet, but tonight was like eating economy cabin food on Hawaiian Airlines. Decor tired. Staff doing their best. But feels like the lease is up and the management are just waiting it out.

              Nice time with a small group. The short ribs, calamari, and crab won tons were delicious. As were the seafood hotpot, sirloin, and Mac nut fish entrees.

              Excellent food, service, view, and experience for Thanksgiving. We have gone to Dukes for over 15 years on Thanksgiving and it never disappoints. The Thanksgiving dinner with side of lobster as well as the view can't be beat.

              Food was horrible. Nothing seemed fresh. Restaurant really needs to step it up a notch and improve quality. Beautiful place to go, but not to eat!
