How do you take a classic staple of American dining, the steakhouse, and break down the traditional thinking to create something entirely new and exciting? That was the question that acclaimed chef and restaurateur Sam Marvin (creator of the much-celebrated Los Angeles restaurant Bottega Louie) posed when he decided the time was right to reinvent what has long been the trademarks of the steakhouse genre – masculine vibe, dark rooms, fancy waiters, slabs of oversized beef and overly expensive pricing. The answer became Echo & Rig Butcher and Steakhouse, located at the charming Tivoli Village just off of Summerlin Parkway; 15 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip.

    I had an amazing dining experience at Echo & Rig Steakhouse, thanks to the exceptional customer service provided by Hugo P. from start to finish, Hugo went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. His attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly demeanor truly elevated the evening. The food was outstanding, but the impeccable service made it even more memorable. I highly recommend Echo & Rig and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Hugo, for making our visit so special!

    Great food, excellent service but a bit loud in the restaurant. It could use a little acoustic work but still an amazing restaurant.

    Only reason for average rating is the Tomahawk steak. It’s chewy and not seasoned enough. Everything else was great. We just won’t ever order the tomahawk again.

    I ordered a New York Strip Steak, cooked at medium-well. Unfortunately, it was tough as could be! My knife barely able to cut through and excessive chewing just to enjoy the steak. I age steaks myself and reverse sear them, for juicy steaks with a chewable texture similar to mashed potatoes. The steak I had could not have been worse and I was sorely disappointed in the quality steak I received. I was visiting Vegas and looked forward to dining at Echo and Rig. I have eaten at Echo and Rig before during a Golf trip and recommended Echo and Rig to several other friends during their visits.

    Fantastic. Even if the food wasn’t good, the service and experience is worth it. Turns out, though, the food is very very good.

    In terms of value and food quality, you can't beat Echo & Rig. The last 2 times we've been there, the service has just been OK. Same server both times. No personality. He literally never smiles so comes across as cold and unfriendly. We've had a female server a couple times and she is awesome. This male server asks about allergies. But when I bring something up, there's ZERO accommodation made for the allergy. It's as if he only asks because it's part of the script. And he doesn't know what to do otherwise. Whereas any other restaurant we've been to (of a similar quality), will go out of their way to accommodate my allergy. Most everywhere will go thru the menu and let me know what to avoid. A couple have gone as far as bringing the chef out and he explains how he'll prepare my meal or make the necessary substitutions. I don't expect that everywhere. But when choosing a restaurant, past experience comes into play. Echo and Rig fails in that category unfortunately. Value and food quality are 5 star. Ambience is maybe a 3 (not a warm and cozy space). Service (based on recent experience is a 2 at best.
