    Finally had my first visit at El Catrin. The atmosphere and vibe was great. Our guacamole appetizer was delicious, but the chicken in the quesadilla was dry and was overpowered by the extra cheese. Baja Tacos were ok, I would suggest they change the oil that they deep fry the fish as it didn't have a 'fresh' taste. Odd that you cannot mix and match your taco selection. Margarita was delicious, but was served in a water glass that was filled with big ice cubes. Overall, it was ok, but not worth the money I paid.

    Fantastic holiday lunch with my family. The service was excellent, as was the food (especially the guacamole made fresh at the table) and the special flight of margaritas. We ate indoors this year due to the weather (it was a little drafty where we sat as we were close to a door). Ambiance was good; noise level very acceptable given how full the restaurant was. Overall a really lovely lunch.

    Food took 42 minutes to arrive. While it was not worth the 42 minutes wait it was adequate. Our server was nice although he was way too busy as he was overstretched with serving other guests. The ambience and the mural in the sitting area was spectacular.

    Our waitress was so sweet, I wish I remembered her name. She was so accommodating to my son. The octopus dish was to die for. Thank you for everything! Margarita flight was killer too!

    The Al Pastor tacos were awful. The Mixto ceviche was ok. Service was slow. Go back, hmmm not so fast.

We are saddened that your overall experience did not meet your expectations and that our food did not impress you the second time around. We take great pride in delivering outstanding customer service and our Chef and his team work very hard to provide our guests with flavourful and authentic Mexican-inspired dishes, while using the freshest ingredients.     everything was amazing! food, service, drinks! only thing i will say is we were seated really close to the door, and they had a curtain up but it was super cold at our table. that’s the only complaint i could have for el carton’s restaurant!
