McLintock's Saloon permanently closed one week prior to our reservation. I received a confirmation via text one day prior. I never received any notice the establishment was no longer open for business. :-(

Been going there for 45 years. Last couple of years seems to have lost something from experience going there. Way over priced for what they are offering now. Food still very good. Bathrooms not so good. Next year will be looking for new experience.

We have been going to McClintock for a very long time. They closed down for a while annd then opened back up. And they are not the same place. It is not the same food it is not the same service. It is not the same prices. Unfortunately, the bread was stale, the supposed shrimp scampi was plain and consisted of three unseasoned shrimp. The ribs appeared to be broiled, boiled, or something other than barbecued. The steak was the only thing edible . It was buffet food at best. Which is unfortunate because this place used to be so good, used to have such high-quality food, such high-quality service and the atmosphere, was unique. We will not be returning. If you were thinking about going, and expecting to get McClintocks , You’re better off just dealing with a wait at Jocko’s or having a decent meal at AJ Spurs.

Our meals were delicious. There is an early bird special during the week for $30. Prices on the menu are cash prices. If a credit card is used a 3.95% fee is added. Staff are personable and fun.

It had been several years since we had been to McClintocks in Shell Beach( ????) But we decided to give it another visit. I read some of the reviews and was a little leery. We were pleasantly surprised and delighted that it was a good choice for us! The decor could use a refresh! But the staff was very friendly, helpful and on the ball. We were seated, our drink order taken and onion rings delivered to us in great time. The onion rings were hot, fresh and delicious! They are included with your meal. We had had a bit of beef during the week, so we took a chance on "seafood at a steakhouse"!! We weren't disappointed. My partner had the shrimp scampi, which had a good # of large shrimp. It was served with delicious buttery, white wine, garlic sauce topped with green onion. Accompanied by rice pilaf and garlic toast. He said he was delicious! I love most any seafood, so I chose the seafood fettuccine. I received several large, shrimp, 4 large scallops and many baby clams, some still in their shell. This was placed over fettuccine noodles and topped with a not heavy cream sauce. The garlic toast was there for me too! There was so much that I had a to-go box. Our meals also came with the option of an after dinner liqueur or vanilla ice cream or orange sherbet. We chose the cold, delicious dessert. My biggest issue was that they only carry one brand of each alcohol!! I like citrus vodka, they only carried Smirnoff brand of citrus. Not to my taste at all. Our server said they only carried one brand of each alcohol. So for us that means no alcohol with dinner there. We intend to return when in the mood for a steak and give that a go!

In the past we have spent a few anniversaries at this restaurant over the past 50 years! This time we traveled again from San Diego and made reservations for another anniversary. Sadly, we were so disappointed. Nothing is the same after COVID, but it was completely different from what we remember. The potatoes were cold and hard like they were left over from the day before. When we told the waitress, her reaction was just to state that she would let the cook know :( In fact, the entire meal seemed cold. We like our food hot and fresh. Our cherished memories from by gone days are apparently over. Our waitress seemed to be lacking the help she needed and appeared to do her very best at serving her customers.
