The AAA Four Diamond Fairview Dining Room has been reimagined as a lighter, brighter backdrop for our renowned fine dining experience. Featuring custom details hand-crafted for the space by regional artisans, this new design simply enhances what you have loved for years.

With the reopening of the new Fairview Dining Room, our Area Executive Chef Troy Stauffer and his imaginative culinary team have introduced a new Fall menu, perfectly complementing the elevated look and feel of the space. Indulge in a savory Cheshire Pork Tenderloin or delicious Duke of Crabcake with a sommelier suggested wine and finish with a decadent hand-crafted dessert from our pastry team, each dish embracing cozy flavors perfect for fall.

  • "Shake it up with Shane" Cocktail Class

    Join us on February 27th and “Shake it with Shane” as we delve into the art of making cocktails. This class will be dedicated to making proper cocktails for your home parties and will include some recipes and mixing techniques from our Director of Food and Beverage. We will discuss and demonstrate how to make these cocktails, homemade mixers, garnishes and mocktails. Our Class will include 4 cocktails and 2 mocktails. A limited menu will be available for additional purchase from our award winning Fairview Dining room.

                                                          Check in staff were not friendly. They seated us at a table facing a wall. When we asked to move they did so reluctantly and asked that we, not they, retrieve the menus we left at the first table. We had to ask for bread service after our appetizers were delivered and our main courses were lukewarm warm at best.

                                                          We told them we were having a late Valentine’s Day celebration and they had roses on the table! Such a nice gesture! Ambiance was perfect, very impressed with the layout, decor, music, etc. The food was fabulous! Overall amazing experience and will certainly be back.

                                                          Wonderful Valentines Day dinner, very busy so service just a tad slow at times but still very good. Look forward to next dining experience here. Scallops, filet mignon and salmon carpaccio, crème brûlée all exceptional.

                                                          The Valentines dinner was a three course pre fix dinning experience. It is only offered on Valentine's Day; however, the Fairview restaurant at Duke Inn is a wonderful place to celebrate special occasions.

                                                          The diverse offerings on the Valentine’s Day prixe fixe menu looked fabulous. Everything was delicious though the filet mignon was disappointing for its recipient. With that exception the clean plates for amuse bouche, appetizers, halibut entrees and three different desserts were outstanding. Service was great.

                                                          Wonderful brunch experience. Exceptional service. A 98 and 71 yr old son birthday celebration so a special time for us. Food menu was well thought out and tasted great.

                                                          We think the Fairview Dining Room has the best ambiance of any restaurant in the Durham. They cook fresh fish beautifully. I always order the fresh catch or salmon. Their rolls are also excellent!
