Food was excellent in most regards though a few things were not outstanding. NY Strip was a bit tough, the cook was perfect but noticeably oversalted (and we like a well-seasoned steak). Service was in some ways very good and attentive but the food came out in a rush after we were told authoritatively if nicely that the restaurant likes to get the whole order in at once (anything else we can do for the restaurant’s convenience?). We obliged. The result was that the focaccia and primi came out in quick succession while we were barely getting into our first cocktail. No sooner had we finished the primi when the secondi came right after. The whole service took about 45 minutes which was crazy. The server and floor mgr did notice the “timing issue” and briefly apologized but still made it our problem to deal with. So, do we enjoy the cocktail while the food sits and gets cold or slurp down our drink so it doesn’t clash with the food? They should have 86’d the primi which should have been held back for at least 10 more minutes, and let us breathe and have our cocktails. That would have been professional. It’s awkward to have to confront the staff about it and neg on the vibe. We probably would go back but would possibly be forced to push back on the service, which is an unpleasant thing to deal with when we just want, I don’t know, maybe 75 or 90 minutes to enjoy a fine meal and perhaps 2 or 3 minutes between courses. Still 4 out of 5 stars. Food was the star.

The most amazing flavors in the dishes and cocktails. We cannot wait to go back to try more. Hands down best meal we’ve had in a very long time. Must try fideo on happy hour menu, enmoladas de pollo and camote asado. And the avocado margarita!!

Kohki was a delight and the food was amazing! Loved the limoncello as well.

It was a wonderful experience, the environment and atmosphere were warm and welcoming and intimate. It was a little nosey but that’s nothing the restaurant or staff could do about, I think everyone else was just excited for a fun night out. They sat us down and offered to take our coats and scarfs. We had Sydney has our server they were wonderful and explained everything to my cousin and I (as it was our first time). They offered us some champagne to start the night off and were so sweet and accommodating to us needing time to go over the menu. The appetizer was amazing and our food was beautiful and well done. Everything tasted amazing and they took such care to clear the table and wipe down the table and even gave us new silverware between our courses. And to finish off the night our server even packed our meals for us. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a amazing night out.

Caveat: it was St. Valentine's Day and we would definitely go back .... we arrived for our 445 pm reservation, got to choose our own seat (as there were only a few others in the restaurant at that time), and had our order taken almost immediately. Server was terrific. Food was amazing and served very quickly. Then the restaurant filled up and we waited and waited to see our server again. When we finally did (40+ min later), we ordered more food and drinks, yet those took close to an hour to arrive. There were many tables around us -- all filled -- either waiting to place their initial order or waiting to get their check. Throughout this, the line at the door backed up and up and up. Have to say, round two of the food and drinks was just as amazing and the server was very apologetic and gracious. She even dropped off a few shots of tequila as a gift. Overall, the food was great, the staff - although overwhelmed - was gracious. As I said at the outset, we would definitely go back.
