Our favorite place to eat while in the Tampa area, we go at least once every Christmas vacation. REAL sangria made at your table - NOT just fruit juice and wine! The 1905 salad is a favorite, and I tried the bean soup for the first time - delicious. The white chocolate bread pudding is a MUST for dessert. I've never had anything less than wonderful here.

James our waiter was terrific. He was polite, entertaining, knew the menu extensively, offered great suggestions.

I'll start by saying I am very happy we decided to dine at HEW. Great experience!! Starting with Jade our server who guided us thru the menu making appropriate suggestions. Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Small touches like calling us by our name on the reservation shows a genuine interest in our satisfaction. The meal was perfectly prepared. We've eaten in dozens and dozens of fine steakhouses, this one is top notch in many areas. Sides were delicious and prepared well. The house special demi-glaze was one of the best I've ever had. I'm very glad she recommended it. Presentation was very nice, however when it came to the quality of the tomahawk steak, it fell a little short. Again, it was cooked and presented perfectly but tough and not up to the standard. I will be sure to return because of how the place is run We are very anxious to try many other things on the menu based on how well the food was prepared and presented. So many nice touches here. Best Italian food in the Tampa Bay Area period. From Pasta, Pinsa to the Vino everything is absolutely fantastic.
