Following the enormous success of Zuma London, Rainer Becker quickly recognised the huge popularity of robatayaki cuisine and opened ROKA Charlotte Street, London in 2004. The principal cuisine comes from the Robata grill. Located amid diners the grill forms an integral design element of all the restaurants but more than being a stunning feature, the robata is truly the heart of ROKA. In 2007, Hamish Brown became the Head Chef of ROKA Charlotte Street. A native New Zealander, Hamish brought with him a great passion for blending the great Asian cuisines that make up the Western Pacific Rim. At ROKA, he has developed the restaurant’s authentic but contemporary menu, fusing his knowledge of Japanese ingredients with his love of quality, seasonal British produce. In 2013, Hamish became Executive Chef of ROKA Group.

Taste was authentic, delicious! I was transported back to Madrid with the croquetas cecina and chuletillas de cordero.Our server George took care of us, he was helpful and patient with the wine selection. Food was served in a timely manner.It was a quiet lunch with a few tables but the experience was loudly excellent.

Oh my goodness what a fabulous experience the whole evening became. The staff were so brilliant it made the meal one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences we have had anywhere. Not just Dubai. The Hutong organisation knows exactly how to provide an exceptional evening of food, service, ambience and excitement and in this Dubai restaurant the dials are all turned up to 11. Visited Puerto 99 DIFC branch to celebrate my birthday with my friends. We had an amazing business lunch experience with everyone who assisted us, Omer, Vera, the chefs, and everyone present earlier. All of them were really friendly and helpful. They made my day special with their sweet gesture of birthday greetings. The food options for business lunch were pretty good and filling and the bonus point was the hibiscus juice which is refreshing. I personally like the cauliflower dynamite. We will definitely be back.😊
