Mamma Roma is an authentic Italian restaurant located at 4/7 Antigua Street Edinburgh. Lovely food and friendly staff. My partner and I ordered two rucola Pizzas, one with a gluten base, and we thought they were lovely. Plenty toppings and nice crust, would highly recommend. Finished with an americano, a cappucino and a slice of pistachio cheesecake.

The experience reminds me of a traditional Italian trattoria in a city neighbourhood. There was a good mix of regulars and city visitors which added to the cosy ambience. The furnishings and decor were a good blend of traditional and contemporary with subtle lighting. The staff were professional, welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The value for money on the set lunch menu was astonishing. The food was traditional, with a good choice and quality and well cooked and presented.
