JIbek Jolu prides itself on bringing an authentic Central Asian experience to The Glen and surrounding north shore area. By combining central Asian and eastern European cuisine, our menu offers a large variety of cuisine, with delightful dishes and drinks prepared by the best chefs and barmen in the area. The interior of the restaurant is a sight to see, unlike anything you have seen before. We hired the best interior designers, leather, glass, wood, bronze, and felt craftsmen in Kyrgyzstan to assemble a modern design with a nomadic spirit. All the pieces of this ensemble are handmade and brought all the way from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Italy. We hope to see you for large parties, family events, and intimate date nights!

Of all the amazing dishes here, one of the most popular is the Hackney Burger. The french fried onions have placed in the top three onions rings in the country consistently, despite not even being rings!     Going to an igloo at Hackney’s on Harms has become our friends yearly tradition. Cozy, unique and festive. Our servers, Bridget & Julie were welcoming, kind & funny. The food was delicious as usual. See you again soon, but definitely next December. ❤️🎄🤶🏻🧅🤶🏻🍹🤶🏻🍔🤶🏻🍺❤️

    The food is always great at Avli. It was very busy and the noise levels were quite high but bearable. Maybe they could play some music to drown out some of the chatter. We had the hummus and eggplant spread. Both were great. Big portions. We also had the mini chicken skewers which were delicious, and the meatballs. They were quite good although the tomato sauce on top was quite tart and tasted a bit like tomato paste. My husband liked it more than me. For dessert we had the orange pie which is actually orange cake. It is delicious. We also tried the cheesecake and chocolate filo sampler. Both were very good. We love Juan who has been our server in the past. Very attentive and friendly.

    It was my birthday lunch with my three closest friends. So I picked the place. I wanted Italian and we weren't disappointed. The soup, pasta and desert was all home made and delicious. We were transported to Italy. the reason I gave three stars for ambiance, is because it looked like a diner.
