Café Berlin has been serving authentic German cuisine on Capitol Hill since 1985. It occupies the ground floor of three townhouses whose front yards serve as Biergarten for outdoor dining. The interior features a small bar and two cozy dining rooms. The restaurant is located within a short walking distance of Union Station and the U.S. Capitol. It draws politicians, congressional staffer, and tourists as well a loyal following of neighborhood residents. The traditional dishes are authentically prepared with lighter touch by chefs with extensive experience in German cuisine. Food was so amazingly good, from the roasted cauliflower to the tender and flavorful steak. The service was friendly and helpful, modifying the chef's menu for our vegetarian with shellfish allergy guest. And the overall enviroment was warm, welcoming, and cozy. My only complaint is that the experience is so good that no one wants to leave their tables! Like a great family dinner. Thank you

Good experience, food was very good and servers helpful with first time Ethiopian food clients! Restaurant very pleasant but got a little noisy as it filled up later in the evening. Recommend the lamb tibs, lovely meat!

I had the Grilled Chicken which was seasoned very well. The Collard Greens were awesome and I will back to try the Fried Red Snapper next time. Cool place for drinks or dinner.
