Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel. The sweeping waterfront view is showcased by full pane glass windows throughout the restaurant which you can enjoy no matter where you dine. The covered patio dining area, and massive outdoor bar, the shark bar, allows patrons to enjoy the Lowcountry climate and serve to further highlight the amazing sunset views over skull creek. If you are concerned about long wait times, the good news is the restaurant accepts reservations and provides a family recreation area between dockside and boathouse. Kids and adults can enjoy a variety of games, the very popular shark bar and 'shrimp boat' playground. Kids can play while families are waiting for a table, or simply enjoying the amazing waterfront views.

Gusto Ristorante is a Northern Italian restaurant with a touch of the South at the Sea Turtle Marketplace in Hilton Head Island.The executive chef and owner Giancarlo Balestra with his wife Nancy bring the vibrant flavors of his native hometown of Rome, Italy to Hilton Head. My son loved the Mussels. I had the Camerons Ajo (shrimp) which was also fantastic. We shared the Elote dip which is such a great way to eat street corn. Portions were generous and we had leftovers. Everything exceeded my expectations. Delicious. We will be back soon.

My husband and I ate at the bar and had the very pleasant, very attentive Eric as our server. He’s the best! We enjoyed the beef bourguignon and a delicious Cabernet by the glass.

It is our go to restaurant for Christmas Eve. Jody did a great job. We had the special feast of the seven fishes. It was a lot of food and done well. I am Sicilian and my grandparents made the feast of the seven fishes every Christmas Eve. It was our family tradition. We have come for the last 3 years since we moved to Bluffton.

We celebrated Christmas Eve here and it was fabulous. Food was outstanding and service by Juan and Elias was exceptional. All food was presented like a magazine cover photo and arrived hot. Highly recommend for a special evening!

We were seated promptly and the service was wonderful. The waitress was knowledgeable and very friendly. The food was delicious. Pasta was perfectly cooked as was the seafood arabiatta and the chicken francese. Enjoyed our meal!
