Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Anthony's is such a great restaurant! We live a few minutes away, and after our meals there, we always lament that we need to go more often! The food wasn't spectacular, from the escargot, lobster bisque (which thankfully they do not put Pernod in), sea bass, lobster...everything was cooked to perfection, came out perfectly timed and hot. Our waiter was exceptional, very attentive, and wonderful with suggestions. We will be back sooner next time!

I am very, very picky about Mexican food, and let me tell you:Javier's is Magnificent. First, a tasty jalapeno marg that actually has some bite. The Aguachile Del Rey was superb, as good as, or better than anything I've had in Vallarta, and I've never had octopus that was this tender. The braised pork chile verde was MASTERFUL, just absolute perfection (I know because this is something I've attempted at home many times, without success). Beautiful, intimate/enveloping yet airy setting on the casino floor. HIGHLY recommend. Thank you Carmen for your help today!
