Contrary to popular belief, JJ's Restaurant is not named for popular owner Jimmy Frantzé. In 1985, Jimmy purchased JJ Malane's from his former business partner and the saloon's namesake. My second lunch at Plate Italiano Moderno - Leawood. I was even more impressed this time. I ordered a pasta dish the first time and this visit the mushroom pizza was calling my name. It was delicious! To visit any restaurant during the holiday season I expect the noise level to be unbearable. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the number of large groups surrounding our two-top, we were able to converse fairly well.
