In the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the Nipa Thai restaurant has been named after the original Nipa Restaurant in the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok. Lots of teak panelling, traditional Thai furnishings and artefacts lend an authentic air. All the staff dressed in traditional Thai costume are from Thailand - even the lady chefs. This authentic Thai restaurant is one of the first 15 recipients of the 'Thai Select' award - this award has been described as being the first ever Michelin-style award for Thai restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine, and is awarded by the Thai Government. Akira are good at what they do. Order from the set menu and you'll not be disappointed - pitch perfect sashimi in their trademark "box of delights" - and how can you go wrong with wagyu beef, with a little sushi set and miso soup on the side? Nice room, thoughtful service, good range of drinks. It's not cheap, but you wouldn't want it to be.

Beautiful restaurant would definitely recommend Wonderful service food is amazing. Not cheap but it’s 5* and you can see why and the views are absolutely stunning

Really good food and amazing service. Recommend for family and friends get together. Rice donabe is a must have dish, but it takes 45mins to cook, so it’s better to order before.
