Our family was born in Oaxaca and migrated to the US in 1994. Ever since then, our goal has been to showcase not only our family recipes, but also the hard work and dedication that goes into each of them. Each year, we travel to Oaxaca, and hand pick our ingredients, and carefully select the people we partner with. Guelaguetza is a restaurant, boutique market, and advocates for Oaxacan culture located in the heart of Korea-town in Los Angeles. Always a favorite to come to Bestia, their food is stellar and they just do it right! Arriving right before restaurant opens is always a fave of mine, caught the tail end of their service staff pre shift and it totally warmed my heart. It really does make a difference when employees seem like they like where they work. I heard and felt energy, excitement and fun from each person I encountered.

The atmosphere was energetic and vibrant, with live music adding a great touch to the evening. Our server was incredibly patient and accommodating, especially since we had a large party. Despite being very busy, they never once rushed us and let us enjoy our time there for several hours. The service was top-notch, and the food was delicious. You must try the red and black mole and the seafood soup! I highly recommend making reservations in advance, as it can get quite crowded. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and a lively dining experience!

We rarely get to go to Angelina’s since we live in Atlanta, but when we do we are NEVER disappointed. Impeccable service, excellent wine selection, fresh truffles whenever in season. We couldn’t ask for me. Even our 8 year old granddaughter loves to dine here.
