Della Santina's Trattoria in Sonoma, San Francisco is a traditional Italian restaruant serving recipes mostly from Lucca, Italy. It was founded by Quirico (Dan) and Shirley Della Sanitina. With the passing of Shirley Della Santina - Quirico, his son Robert and wife Nicole continue to carry on the family business and Tuscan traditions. Quirico is the chef behind the menu and has provided what's been described as Italian comfort food in a gorgeously authentic Italian setting. When you walk in the front entrance you'll be greeted by truly Italian decorations and design, as well as fresh flowers on every table. Della Santina's offers a variety of home made pastas, antipasti, soups and salads, juicy rotisserie cooked meats and fresh seafood. Local wines from Sonoma, as well as Italian wines and beers are all featured on the wine list. This is one of those restaurants in a strip mall that definitely is worth seeking out. The food is always fantastic and the people that run it are very cordial. They always have at least 5 additions to the menu and the food is definitely made in house. You will enjoy it!

We have visited LaSalette a number of times over the years, when in the area. We always enjoyed it but this time, everything was even better, with some nice additional touches. We were started off with a little amuse bouche from the chef; a tasty mini shrimp cake. The soup of the night was the most flavorful butternut squash soup ever, followed by the octopus appetizer which was excellent. Both our entrees were delicious especially the Fisherman Stew. The broth was amazing! The presentation on everything was lovely and their desserts are nice combinations of treats. And then, one more surprise treat from the chef. Nice touch,. Our server, Maggie was delightful and very helpful with explanations, answers and recommendations I am so glad we went out of our way to dine her again. We'll be back.

Seven of us had dinner before going to the Trancendence Theater Company show at the Sebastiani Theater. The service, ambiance, and buzz in the restaurant was outstanding. Wide range of menu items to suit everyone's taste, and a great wine list too. Service was friendly, professional, and attentive. Everyone agreed the pastas were excellent, as well as the lamb. Always a great experience - highly recommended for great food combined with a great atmosphere!
