Napa Valley Bistro was opened in 2013 by chefs Bernardo Ayala and Ernesto Martinez, (also co-owner of Market in St. Helena). Their friendship and working relationship, which has lasted over 20 years was so successful, they decided to pool their resources and stake a claim in downtown Napa's expanding culinary scene. Their aim was to create their own version of classic world cuisine in a comfortable space where family and community could gather for any occasion. The twist is evident in the menus, which sample fare from around the globe. I'm a fourth-generation Napa local and this is by far my favorite restaurant in town! The ambiance is elevated and gorgeous without being pretentious. Friendly and smooth service with excellent attention to detail. Refined yet approachable cuisine focusing on quality ingredients and inventive presentation. Commendations to staff members Ed, Libby, Alex and Rutuja! Every time we visit we feel like we're on vacation! Can't wait for next time.

Great food and great service ! The Calabrese flatbread was delicious and the charcuterie board was too! Just wish you got more for the price but it’s Napa! The pickled grapes were interesting to try! Definitely get the alpha omega Chardonnay or an old fashioned ! And most importantly Alma was an amazing server !!
