The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments.     My wife and I are empty nesters with my son and his wife being nurses. Their schedules have them working the holidays. So, going to El Torito for the holidays has become a very cool thing for us to do. My wife and I enjoy the food and the appreciate the service for Christmas (on Christmas day, no less). Ricardo has been the best server we could hope for. Always keeping our mimosas filled. No complaints.
