Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, proms and sweet sixteens, and more. In its prime, Steuben’s was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene.

Bon Ami is one of my favorite restaurants normally, but this time the mussels were very sub-par. The size of the mussel meat was tiny, tough, and overcooked. The sauce was much too salty and lacked the sweet/savory balance the chef normally strikes. Not sure if this was just an off night, but they were the worst example of mussels I've ever eaten there.

My family has dined at this location 3-4 times/month for the past couple of years. Food is always outstanding! If I had to grasp for something to complain about, parking can occasionally be a challenge, but that’s to be expected in any popular area. North has fabulous food with a casual and enjoyable atmosphere at a reasonable price.

Props to the chefs! Food was outstanding, nothing over the top or eccentric, just high quality like you would expect to find in actual France! I did think the silverware and glassware could be upgraded, or at least all match. But the quality of the food will have us back for sure!
