The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. We had delicious mocktails &drinks at the bar while waiting for all the part to arrive. Then we had the wonderful festive menu- i had prawns to start so fresh and delicious with sea bass for main - the flavours were incredible. I couldn’t resist the whisky crème brûlée for dessert. Our waitress was so friendly and kind. Looking forward to returning.

We were a party of 7, 4 adults and 3 young boys. We had an amazing time m. The boys (who are quite fussy eaters) ate everything! The food was exceptional, would highly recommend. The waiting staff were all meticulously mannerly and checked just enough that everything was to our satisfaction.

I always have such a lovely time here. There was a wedding scheduled for this evening and whilst I don’t know how it went, it certainly is a beautiful choice of venue.
