Our bar is adjacent to the Lock Keepers House, a post that became obsolete in 1961 when the canal was closed to traffic the previous year. Lovely food and cocktails as always, it’s the second time we booked a big table for an occasion but both times we were sat up by the band and the outside chairs were stools we swapped them for chairs with a backrest but I’d like to be seated better next time but I’m sure if I specified it they would meet our needs

Newly opened but all good! Lovely staff, great cutlery for steak, nice work nice glasses and good napkins! One steak meal, one chicken piri piri. Overall, really happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Staff may have been a little nervous but their hearts were in the right place and really wanted to help. So happy that this is a nice place to eat in the village, and wish them the best of luck. Highly recommend!
