Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff. Whether you are coming in to dine with family and friends, grabbing a drink and an appetizer, or picking up takeout on the way home, Post is here for you – rain or shine.

Not everyone feels like eating a burger and with that in mind, we built a menu that offers options for those times. We have guests who have been dining with us for 8 years now and have never eaten one of our award-winning burgers, instead, they enjoy sharing a few small plates to start and then order entrees with a bottle of wine. Just because we are so well known for our award-winning burgers doesn’t mean that’s all we do well. You’ll need to come in and experience this for yourselves and we promise you it will be worth it!veryone isn’t looking for the same casual restaurant experience that is so common these days. We are working daily to elevate our restaurant from a predictable neighborhood restaurant to one that offers a change from the norm and excites with each visit.

    We live right up the street on Topsfield Road. We did not know you were “open to the public” until last night.”! Saw you on OpenTable and booked immediately. Everything was fantastic: The food —the service — the atmosphere — Paige was our waitress— she was fabulous — she was attentive and quite tuned-in to all of our needs. We will definitely return —cozy warm “club-like” atmosphere —-we loved it!!!!

    Excellent vegetable soup, followed by awesome salmon and ratatouille. It was a fabulous French meal in a delightful French restaurant. We will definitely go again

    My wife and I prefer Harvest during a cold winter evening. The positive elements of the restaurant's ambiance seem to shine in Fall and Winter. The staff was attentive and engaging, and the meal was delicious. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. We have dined at Harvest a number of times since 1983. It is a wonderful special occasion place with a relaxed Cambridge vibe.

    I brought my staff for a celebratory holiday lunch and we couldn't have been happier. LeeAnn, the hostess/server,  was warm, friendly, and just the right level of attentive. We sat in the covered/atrium space in the back, which was perfect on a rainy day. Cocktails and food were delicious - I ordered the mussels and they were some of the best I've ever had. The lunch reminded me how much I enjoyed Frenchie before Covid and I'm looking forward to coming back on a regular basis. Thanks for a lovely wonderful lunch!

    Enjoyable causal dining experience. Very nice service sitting at the bar. Finished up with decadent choco lava cake. Will go back & try the burgers.
