Blvd Tavern is a modern American Tavern focused on delivering warm hospitality, delicious food and great drinks in a comfortable neighborhood setting in the heart of the Kansas City Crossroads Art District. Our menu changes frequently and focuses on seasonal ingredients. We prepare everything on our menu from scratch, from the buttermilk biscuits at brunch to the hand cut fries on our daily grind burger. We offer dinner five nights a week, lunch Wed-Fri and Brunch on Sat and Sun mornings.Our dining room is a mix of brick and reclaimed wood (we even have wood from a barn the owner's great-grandfather built on the family farm in 1902). Our quaint patio is one of Kansas City's best kept secrets.

Set in Kansas City’s historic City Market, Brown and Loe Restaurant’s inviting atmosphere is a blend of “big city” bistro with the welcoming casual flavor of a neighborhood favorite. Housed in a former Merchant’s Bank constructed in 1920, the restaurant honors the architectural details of the two-story building which features a façade of plate glass and verde marble floors and walls. In the 1940’s, Brown and Loe was originally a produce broker with offices on the second floor of the Merchant’s Bank building. Continuously amazed at how the staff at Pierponts makes dining so much of a pleasure. The waitstaff went above and beyond to provide a genuine upscale experience. Their knowledge of the menu is beyond what was expected.

Enjoyed brunch, food was tasty. I appreciate that every part of the meal was good. Usually when you eat brunch there is something that may trun out subpar but this brunch was not. This is one of the few if any restaurants in the area that serve freshly squeezed OJ which I was excited about. Service was good but a little slow.

The food is always well prepared and delivered to the table steaming hot when it is supposed to be steaming hot. The servers are kind, knowledgeable and efficient. The vibe is lively and laid back, but can get a little noisy at peak times since the tables are close together. There is a small back room that can seat a group of perhaps 8-10 and provides nice privacy. The patio has heat lamps and is comfortable through most of 3 seasons. Definitely an urban atmosphere with a sort of old school, vintage feel but with absolutely current food choices.
